I appreciate receiving all these comments about Topamax. It saddens me to think there may be people out there suffering needlessly. And the company that makes this drug made a ton of profit (see:http://www.bloomberg.com and look up "topamax".The news article is dated 1/23/07. They made billions of dollars!) Also, I've read that Topamax can cause kidney stones.
As patients we need to advocate for ourselves and learn as much as we can about a drug before going on it. And if you are on a drug and notice any negative change in yourself let your doctor know, and if he invalidates you, get another opinion.
