You know what? I have no idea why I said that.
I've wrestled with various diagnoses since 1986, and the entire time, I've had this phobia/fear/BigScaryMonster thing about benzos. I've NEVER taken them until now. Depending on which doctor you talk to, I'm either SAD or unipolar.
I think you just pointed out my own neurosis about benzos, that, as you have already probably guessed, I'm wrestling with.
Thanks for asking the question. A little more insight into myself, really.
Up until my recent bout of depression, I'd never had panic/anxiety attacks. Then one day I shut down entirely at the steering wheel of the car in the parking lot of the office upon arrival at work. Took me an hour to get out of the car. And after that day, then a month of stomach-up-in-the-throat, heart-pounding, sweating terror every damned morning.
And it's now gone. Whew.
Again, tensor, thanks for asking the question, though I don't think I answered it in the way you thought I might. That was useful.
