For what it's worth, on paper, it sounds like your doctor is doing a good job.

It's a little out there, but there is a Dr. Peter Mueller in Princeton, NJ who reports having success with sibutramine (Meridia) for treating fibromyalgia and associated mood disturbances. Sibutramine, like Effexor and Cymbalta, is a reuptake inhibitor of serotonin and norepinephrine. However, its metabolites also inhibit the reuptake of dopamine. The drug is normally used to treat obesity.
