I am ready to go back on Remeron after not responding to Parnate this time although I used it successfully for many years. I had good results with Remeron earlier this year for about 6 six months.

I gave it up because it magnified all of my vices and I ate too much (doesn't everyone on Remeron), drank too much, and found it almost impossible to get up in the morning. My blood sugar went up and so did my cholersterol. This is not good when you are a diabetic with cardiac issues. On the positive side, my sex life was wonderful, which I (and my girlfriend) really miss.

I don't plan to use Remeron and Parnate together, but I would like to switch to Remeron without waiting the usual 2 weeks. Does anyone think I can hasten the washout?

Michael
