Hi Phillipa,

I took Prozac for nearly a year (30 mg). It caused a rapid heart rate, insomnia and sexual side effects with minimal benefits.

And after severe chest pain following 2 days on Zoloft I doubt I'll ever try another SSRI again ( I was not taking any other meds). I can deal with annoyances but chest pain I won't mess around with.

I'll bet 9/10 docs would say I'm exaggerating my response to SSRI's or a hypochondriac because they are so safe and used practically every population, but I know how I respond. Perhaps I might tolerate another SSRI but I also thought I **might** tolerate a different stimulant when I couldn't tolerate Ritalin and I ended up in the hospital after brief trials of Adderall and Dexedrine. Now I'm gun-shy. Thanks so much for your suggestion...Saturn.
