I disagree totally.

That's totally unethical behaviour unless
a) you were violent to them
b) were cutting yourself
c) were in a paroxysm of rage and anger.even if you were in any of the above states, something like a high dose of Largactil IM would have been more appropriate.
You have grounds to compain and should do so I believe.
