I think (and think not know is the operative word) it depends on the specific drug and the extent of liver and kidney damage. Certain drugs would be contraindicated. If anyone on the Board gives you a definitive answer I would look with skepticism. This is something you would want to discuss with your pdoc and/or internist. Would also depend on any other drugs you are taking, use of alcohol and severity of your psychiatric symtoms. It would be helpful to know specifically what drugs you are consideriang or what symptoms you want to manage/control fca
