Hi,

After trying numerous other meds with no success Effexor yanked me out of a deep five month depressive episode. Thirteen years later my dose is higher than it was at the beginning, but it is still working. I switched to XR when it came out, to reduce side effects. I know several other people who are doing well on Effexor. It sometimes gets a bad press, here among other places, but it worked for me when nothing else would.

Good luck,

gt
