I think what Jedi was trying to get at is that you're not "treatment resistant" in the sense that multiple adequate medication trials have not failed. You've only mentioned three meds, all newer meds. Saying it's a "last ditch effort to save your life" is a big melodramatic in that case, you know? I understand you mean it in the sense of wanting to save the quality of your life, your future career, etc -- but that's not exactly what it sounds like.
As far as saving your school career, you know that there are a lot of medications out there very effective for depression. If you're serious about staying in school, you can try one of those, despite the potential for side effects.
I guess what I'm saying is that there are choices and consequences and priorities. It's up to you, though. If you choose to make school your priority, and try one of the othe ADs, you may have side effects as a consequence. You may gain weight as a consequence. It's up to you which you want more -- staying in school, or risking not being as slim.
