I would say that Seroquel-naive patients will experience profound drowsiness, and especially low blood pressure (eg a Trazodone feeling) if never taken before, even at a low dose. I'm used to it and can push through things -- I'm not proud to say that I once or twice stupidly accidentally doubled my Seroquel dose by mistakenly taking it in the daytime as well as at night and I held through 1600mg basically of Seroquel in my body until I could get to a place I could lay down and sleep. But if you've never taken it that amount would knock you out cold for a day and a half.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble, Jan, about your switchover -- 2mg of Klonopin is roughly equal to 40mg of Valium, as I know about switching from 8mg Klonopin to 160mg Valium at one point. I think the taper there is not being made equal -- you have to add more Valium before you take away the Klonopin, I've been there and I can say that it is not a surprise that you're taking 5mg extra. I know this because I was taking .5mg Klonopin tablets and 10mg Valium tablets, equivalent basically.-- Best wishes
Jay
