I don't know what you're being treated for...I guess if the wellbutrin is causing minor problems at start-up, you could wait it out, and see if it goes away, as long as it isn't too troubling.

Some docs give benzos on a very short-term basis during early treatment with ADs; apparently, for some people, adding an anti-anxiety agent for a week or so makes the start up bearable, and then after that the problems are minimal. Maybe that would help?

BuSpar is an odd drug, so I really don't know what to say there...some people find it quite helpful with anxiety and depression, some people find it doesn't help, and others find that BuSpar has intolerable side effects. Its kind of a toss up.

My personal approach would probably be to call the doc and see about a short-term fix for the agitation, and maybe start up the BuSpar at the same time if you'd like to take it. Or you could try going with just the effexor or just the wellbutrin, possibly with BuSpar mixed in...

what kind of directions is your doc giving you?
