My very unscholarly two cents after stopping Naridl and going to Emsam:
Too tough, the 6 mg patch didn't do much for me, other than some anxiety/agitation/irritability.
Despite a well-stocked Ambien cache, nights were hell. My wife claims I was experiencing some strong (myoclonic) jerking in my sleep that woke her up a number of times per night. (Hard to do!)
I know that much of the angst was Nardil d/c, and I don't know how to make that process easier. I was hoping the Emsam would cover some of the pain.
Although I did not give it a fair trial, after a few days on the escalated dose of 9 mg/day, I was in enough deprx to call my pdoc and start the process back to Nardil.
Primarily I experience atypical deprx, with years of fairly good results from Nardil.
As I've noted before, I have no doubt the quality degradation in Nardil cost a lot of us some bad days.
Anyway...something for the Babble oral tradition.
