Starting Effexor for the 1st time

Hey guys, am taking effexor for the first ime and am of course freaked out. Have done a lot of research andhave heard so much about the withdrawls and side effects. Just wondering if anyone else out there has started taking effexoror has gone off recently and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to hear something positive, but any honest info would be helpful.
