Hi.
Imipramine helped me tremendously back in the 80's when I first started ADs. Iwas taking 150mg. (50mg 3 times a day). It truly changed my life. Side effects were pretty bad so when Prozac came out I was switched.
Now the bad news. I tried imipramine again a few months ago and couldn't even tolerate 25mg a day because of side effects.
I do still believe it is a very effective AD, if you can tolerate the dry mouth, postural hypotension, etc. that come with it.
