Re: coupla focalin questions

In reply to coupla focalin questions, posted by saturn on June 5, 2006, at 18:52:07

I moved from 96mg Concerta to 50mg Focalin XR. They are pretty similar

Here's what I experienced:

Focalin:
fewer sleep interuptions
less sense of over-thinking /
feels "sharper/crisper"

Concerta:
very slight physical feeling / energised

I only see elevation in heart rate with dexedrine or Adderall. Methylphenidate doesn't have that effect on me.

The IR versions of both Focalin and Ritalin make me very bad tempered an dare instinguishable to me.

ANother difference is that Concerta is more end-loaded than Focalin XR. With Concerta I needed 10mg of ritalin or dexedrine when I woke to jump-start the medication. With Focalin XR I take a similar dose after lunch.

Hope this helps
