I've been on 100mg for two weeks, and will start on 200mg tonight. Thus far I haven't noticed any signigicant effect since the initial 25mg. After a week on 25mg I could feel a remarkable if subtle change in my demeanor. I was less anxious, more subdued without losing my essential self. This change came on rather suddenly, after a particularly manic day, I just felt calm and in control. Since then however, with each successive increase in dosage I haven't felt any changes. I've had both hypomanic and depressive episodes, but they've been milder, and overall I've felt alot more in control of myself. If this is all that is going to happen on Lamictal it is certainly a welcome change. I don't know how other people feel, but I know I'm not looking to lose the swings completely just feel more in control of moods, and to feel less anxious! I am concerned about what will happen bumping up to 200mg, will I become comotose? What about sideffects? Thus far I've just felt hung over symptoms when I increased the dose, but that went away after a day. If anyone can comment on my experiences, either to support or to contradict what I've said it would be greatly appreciated.

> HI there. I can't answer as to whether 100 mg or 200 mg is better because I'm right where you're at, 50 mg. I had a hypomanic incident a few days after getting up to 50. It wasn't too bad and klonopin helped. Of course I got depressed for a few days and now I'm okay. I found lamictal was really helping my anxiety but at 50 mg it's not helping so much. From what I understand, sometimes you get manicky because you are getting the antidepressent effect at this dosage rather than the mood stabilizing effect. Wish I could help you more but I'll sure be watching this post. Take care.
