No, that's why they came out with ambien cr (extended release) - to get people over that time when they often wake 3-4 hours later and can't get back to sleep. That's what my pdoc said about it anyway.

Saturn,

Ambien is somewhat inconsistent for me - takes 1/2 hour to an hour. If I don't take my full dose I don't sleep at all.
