When to take the dose depends on how one responds to it. Prozac was stimulating for me, so I took it in the morning. Paxil caused insomnia, so I took it in the morning. Remeron was sedating, so I took it in the evening.

Just recently restarted lexapro. I used to take it in the morning. I noticed it made me sleepy during the morning, then a little depressed in the afternoon, and then I felt perfectly fine in late afternoon and evening. So now I'm trying it in late afternoon, to try to shift the pattern in my favor.
