I wasn't on the boards yesterday, so I hope you still see this. I've been on and off Parnate for over 20 years. I eat Chinese and other Asian food quite often. I stay away from Miso soup. I causes me to get splotches on my face and does raise my PB. I don't eat much soy, but I do some and have never had problems with it. I eat pizza with mozzeralla cheese, but I steer clear of teh sharp cheeses. Luckily, I never was really fond of cheese, but I will eat some potato skins and they use cheddar. Some cheeses tend to make me really sick to my stomach. I drink white wine (too much, too often) and don't have issues unless I drink a whole bottle AND eat tons of "forbidden" foods that day or the day before/after.
Now, I cannot even have a tiny amount of pickle juice on any food I eat or I get deathly ill. Red wine I just avoid because it scares me to try it. Many dark liquors will give me a rash if I drink more than one drink. So much of it is individual.
I take my diet very seriously, but after a while, you find out what you tolerate. I have an aneurysm in my ascending aorta, so any major BP spike will strike me dead. I've had the BP raise some, but never to dangerous levels even with my already "can drop dead at any moment" anuerysm status.
