I have been on Parnate for the better part of my life and the restrictions they warn of are extremely overrated, in my opinion. I've had several surgeries and did NOT have to go off my meds. You must tell the doctors you are on an MAOi though. I have no problems at the dentist and eat some of the foods on the "forbidden" list without any problems. I stick to the foods with the lower tyramine ratings and don't eat certain things at all because they make me deathly ill.

There will be some restrictions with over the counter meds, but there are many ways to work around it. Check with the pharmacist or your GP if you have questions.
