I hate to say it, but I wouldn't hold my breath on Dexedrine helping with binge eating from Remeron. I hoped that I would lose weight when I started taking it, that it might boost my metabolism a bit, but no joy.
Topamax really is your best bet, from everything I've read. Down here, if we can't afford our meds, most of the drug companies have compassion programs that provide free or low cost meds for us. Since the companies are American, I'm betting that their programs don't include Canadians, but surely there's *something* like that up there? I don't know where to advise you to check, but maybe start at needymeds.com?
I'm sorry you're having trouble with the health service. I wish I could think of something that might help you get approval, but my mind's a blank.
