I'm trying to find one that isn't prone to too many cognitive side effects. I know Lamictal isn't too bad, but what is there besides Lamictal? It seems most of the others have cognitive side effects. Thanks!

I think I might be and the combination of an SSRI and Adderall might make me restless and irritable. Surprisingly, with all the tons of meds I've taken... I've never took Adderall with an ssri. Nardil wasn't working out cognitively for me, so I'm trying this combo with Klonopin or a mood stabilizer. I like Klonopin, but I'd rather stay away from it because of the cognitive side effects. Maybe I'll give the Trileptal a try. Is there that much difference between Tegretol and Trileptal? Thanks a lot!

Hi Josh.

I would opt for Trileptal. I found it to be a very clean drug with a mild antidepressant effect. I suffered no cognitive side effects. My only complaint is that I developed patches of dry skin on my hands and fingers.
