Tremor

Posted by yesac on March 29, 2006, at 15:09:53

I have a tremor from lithium. So finally last week I had my psychiatrist prescribe Inderal for me. So far, it hasn't worked. I've been increasing my dose every day. Today I have taken 70mgs and then 80mgs four hours later. I'll probably take 90mgs soon.

I've read that people can go up to 320mgs/day of Inderal for essential tremor, which is not what I have of course, but I figure it's worth a try. After that I guess I'll give up on this drug.

But I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions? Could another beta blocker help if Inderal doesn't? What about primidone/Mysoline, which is an anticonvulsant... I've read that can be used for tremors too. Another possibility is potassium supplementation, although I have no idea how much.

Any thoughts/experiences would be appreciated.
