Maybe its because my ma used to take my temperature with one of those thermometers designed for that area, or because I'm (as a woman) more used to fiddling about with things down there......IMO having a cervial smear test is FAR worse than putting some chemicals (myself) up my behind.....Smear tests are PRUE EVIL, although I expect thats a drop in the ocean compared to childbirth. Oh well......I'm not a homo-phobe, I have met some great friends who are gay...I don't care if they are, it's their life, it's their choice, just as it is mine to be hetero-sexual. My personal prob is I just have a hard time with suppositories FOR ME, they are a wonderful way to deliver meds in the terminally ill, elderly and also babies. And one day I may not have a choice..it's not that big of a deal, It's just uncomfortable for me. A few years ago I had a Prostate exam..finger up the bu*t and it was very uncomfortable and actually painful...but, in life somethings are uncomfortable and even painful-all well, things could always be much worse.
