I feel for you bud. When I was 22 (i'm 47 now) the girl i was going to marry dumped me on my *ss and broke my heart while I was going through my first severe depression/ocd episode. I had to drop out of college with only a year to go and I think she thought i would never amount to anything so she dumped me and man was she COLD! Well, she was wrong because I married a wonderful women 6 years later who loves me inspite of my illness...I still have dep. probs, ocd, social phobia, and have had many bad severe dep. times in our 20 years of marriage and she stays with me and loves me thru all of these bad times. We also have two wonderful boys ages 7 and 4. The right women is out there for you I guarantee it!As far as your "friends"...those aren't good friends that would do that to you when your having problems...real friends will love you unconditionally no matter what your condition is! I also had some tics and twitches and so I know a little of what your going thru...i was always afraid someone was going to see them and i was obsessed w/ them. They made my life miserable. My pdoc said to quit worring about what other people thought ( he was right) also told me I needed to "accept" them ( easier said then done ). But, now I'm doing well on Parnate-no twitches, no dep. no ocd, no sp, finally after 25 freaking years I'm doing great. So, please don't give up! And you will find friends who love you uncondionally...like we here at psycho-babble do. :) Hey, My best friend has a tremor problem -his head shakes, and you know what he could shake and twitch as much as possible and it would not matter to me,this is true friendship.
