Good for you! You've already noticed a change and your the only one that can tell him when that dose doesn't seem to be helping as well as it did at first. Then you may want to up the dose, or try something else if you don't like how the Effexor makes you feel. I didn't stand up to my Dr and could have hurt myself because I let him take over the increasing and decreasing of my meds. You've got it right just move slow. Tell your dr you want to way on the side of caution. He should understand.
