serotonin and bowels

stomach disorder to respond to certain individuals well to certain AD. I believe it has to do with a certain serotonin receptor site which can be triggered with certain agents. men and women differ, but i've found my stomach linked directly to my state of mind. like the poles of a magnet.

so yes AD's can help with all sorts of IBS, GERD, gastritis, as long as you male/female can find the proper set of serotonin (5HT) triggers.

Its similar to the adverse effects SSRI's have on libido. If they do or do not hit the 5HT2b...uhhh site they dont kill sex drive.

For women there is a selective compound called zelnorm.
Similar to an AD, but approved for Irritable Bowel syndrome.
