How do you ask a new gp to add a benzo for treatment of bad anxiety? I had clonazapam before for panic attacks and I know it works...but when I suggest this to my new gp the very first thing out of his mouth is "we try to stay away from meds that can induce dependance and tolerance". Most ssris, ssnris, etc...just add to the anxiety. Do you think the gp just wants to go through every other possible med before turning to benzos? He's given me seroquel for the anxiety but its stupifying and gives me horrible anxiety, cant sit still, legs shaking.
