The willingness to rx benzos varies by doctor. Some are real concerned about the patient's ability to take those meds responsibly, others don't worry unless a patient has had abuse or significant non-compliance problems in the past.For instance, my gp is fine rxing Xanax, but would not screw around with an AP without a pdoc's supervision.
