Isn't that something, when they are afraid to give you something "dangerous", like our condition isn't already that? We live with dangerous every damn day of our lives. That just makes me so angry. (I finally had to get Parnate on my own and start without a doc, cause I could not get one to rx it NO MATTER WHAT I DID OR SAID, and I was truly done. When I got a new doc and went in and said I got this off the internet, I'm taking it now, do you want to help me manage the higher doses, what could he say, I guess??)
Anyway, afraid to say the Parnate comes and goes. Hopefully its a dosage thing. I could still go much higher on it, but now that I'm doing it with a doc I have to go slower. Can't get him to undertsand I'm OUTTA time. : )
Lamictal, same thing, raising dosage very slowly to avoid the rash . So I guess I'm in kind of a limbo. But I do have some fairly good days. To be honest I'm not sure its the actual AD effects of the Parnate yet, cause I can take one and feel it like a little bitty rush within an hour, so it may be the amph metabolites. Whetever, it gets me outta bed some days and thats good enough for now.
Have not tried Nardil but it is next. In fact, Jedi posted a really interesting med study this morning about Nardil. Check it out... it is on "Tired all the time. Advice?" posted by Paulbwell on 9/18. I got thoroughly excited when I read it. So Nardil is next up.
Please hang in there, Tep. I know how frustrating it is - we are all tired of this crap - and I know you are at a really bad part right now. I know when I was like that I had to have a plan or I just felt so hopeless. Let's work on finding a way to get them to try you on the Parnate.
