Hi Marsha. I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. From your post, I'm not a pdoc, but it does sound to me that you could be having a hypomanic episode, maybe even one that is induced by the AD (Celexa). I have bipolar II (or soft bipolar) and Seroquel, an atypical antipsychotic that acts as a mood stabilizer, has been very helpful for both my hypomanias/anxiety and depressions.

I was on Celexa and then Lexapro myself for 5 years. A few months ago, my pdoc said the ADs can cause hypomanias and rapid cycling in bipolar patients. I switched to Seroquel and it helped quell the period of rapid, very negative thinking, hopelessness, and insomnia.

I suggest you talk to your pdoc more about your situation and meds.

Best wishes, Lucia
