Hi Phillipa, I don't know if I've ever posted to you before...
It took Cymbalta a full 6 or 7 weeks for the good part to kick in--having some energy to concentrate, get out of bed and get things done. That said, by 3:00 pm, I need a nap. My Pdoc prescribed .25 Klonopin during the day to combat the anxiety the cymbalta causes for me too. So it's a double-edged sword. I'm sure he will up my Cymbalta on the next visit (I'm on 60 mg) or he will add something else. Right now, I take the nap, and I'm a better person for it.
all that said, I feel better w/the Cymbalta. I like it much better than Effexor. I can "feel" my feelings again, and I really missed that. I just wish I wasn't so tired! But he says I need the klonopin, and so for now I'll do what he says.
