Anticonvulsants as antidepressants?

Posted by flmm on December 27, 2005, at 21:04:35

Just started Neurontin for chronic nerve, back pain. Seems to help pain, but mood is greaty improved!Feel normal without feeling high. Just a normal balanced mood. I used to want to drink, take vicoden or take snri meds like effexor, just so I could take away the flatness of ssri meds. Could these be the way to go? It is very strange to feel very content and I feel like I have all my emotions intact like I could cry if I needed to. What's the deal with these? Maybe Larry Hoover knows.
