I take 8 mg 30 minutes before bedtime. It helps me fall asleep faster, but I still wake up way too early. I wouldn't cut the tablets -- the shape of the pills don't allow for "clean" cuts.

No grogginess the next day. No side effects at all, at least as far as I can tell.

I think it is a **breakthrough** med. for helping people fall asleep.
