Thanks for the update, Jakeman! This fits nicely with some things I read about BDNF (brain-derived neurotropic factor) in the recent book by Peter Kramer, MD called "Against Depression". He wrote the book "Listening to Prozac" about 13 years ago, and the new one updates a lot of the current thinking about depression. Like the prior work, this is quite an eye-opener.

As I understand it, BDNF is a sort of "resilience" factor that helps repair damage caused by depression (like the axons). Does anybody know if any of the pharmaceutical companies are working with it?

Happy Holidays to all,

Ray
