> You are on the wellbutrin?

Yep.

>may i ask how many mgs?

You may ask... I'll even answer: 300mg Wellbutrin XL

>and were you only an? or did u b/p also?

No B/P, I only restrict.

>any seizures on it?

None for me, but here's what Dr CattleProd talked about when I was begging to try it: It seems as though the seizure risk in EDs is based on electrolyte imbalance, so it is possible for AN to have problems as well as BN. The other thing that helps reduce the risk is to use the XL formulation, because that way the blood levels are more constant -- not a lot of going up after taking it, then going down before the next dose. He said that it's really only in the past year that there have been any reports whatsoever of seizure on XL.

That said, according to Larry Hoover who seems to know about these things, EVERYONE WILL have a seizure on Wellbutrin, once the dose gets high enough. For one person, "high enough" might mean 1500mg, but for another it might be 150mg. There are risk factors, things that lower your seizure threshold like B/P behavior or history of head injury, but there's no guarantee that you won't have a seizure.

What's more, because the literature all says that Wellbutrin is contraindicated with any Eating Disorder, most doctors are unlikely to prescribe it. If someone did prescribe it, knowing you were AN, and you had a seizure, that someone might lose his/her license and maybe face some charges.

I'm on it now mostly because I was already getting treatment for my AN, AND I swore up and down that I knew nothing about diuretics, didn't take laxatives, and had never purged. In fact, I finally had to tell him about the one time I tried to -- back when I was about 14.

>hows everything going?

I'm not sure the WB is working as monotherapy, and I've got a few other things on my plate that are making life difficult right now. But mostly things is OK...

Except that I'm pretty much an E ticket attraction these days -- taking a fertility drug called Clomid, and it's got me riding a wicked hormonecoaster. "Emotionally Labile" I guess you could say...

> no more questions?

Just don't ask me who's buried in Grant's Tomb and we'll do just fine...
