Hmmm.. I'm sorry to hear that the effects wear off! I've noticed this seems to be a common complaint about Parnate. Thanks for the advice to keep my dose to the minimum until I really need to increase. The doctor initially wanted me to begin at 40 mg, but the postural hypotension side effect prevented me from going above 30.

It's interesting that it took a year before you needed to increase-- any thoughts on what changed? Does it just take that long before the body reverts back to its "pre-parnate" state?

What type of gaba agent do you use? I was taking gabapentin before Parnate, but found that I didn't need it and that I couldn't tolerate it once I began Parnate-- the gabapentin became much more potent when combined and increased my dizziness. I have started drinking way more coffee in the past few weeks. It seems to compliment Parnate quite well and increases my blood pressure a bit which is a good thing in my case. I was considering augmenting Parnate with Ritalin in the future. We'll see how it goes..

Anyway, good luck to you both. Willyee, have you tried Nardil? I started Parnate instead because I was worried about weight gain. FrequentFlyer, why did you switch if Nardil was working well?

Thanks
