If it's the one I saw on clinicaltrials.gov, there's a placebo group in it. That is, you could end up with only an AD and no Abilify. I don't know if that would apply for the whole period, but if so, 3 months on an AD that's already failed you is a long time.

Would your current pdoc be willing to try adding an atypical AP to your current AD or one of those in the study? He/she could, if willing. I know nothing about Adderall + AP, if that's possible.

Generally, except for civic duty, I think there isn't much to be gained from participating in a placebo-controlled trial if the meds being studied are already available from your own doctor (or another one up the street). Three months is a long time.
