Not too sure about Histamine. Histadine is its precursor. I do know that certain nutrients can effect it - Folic acid can increase it while too much copper can lower it and even cause histapenia. Zinc brings copper levels down.
There certainly are precursors to acetycholine. Choline is the main one. DMAE is converted to choline in the brain. Doses are 100-300mg/day. It is much more effective than choline at increasing ACh, and more convenient too as you need quite alot of choline to make a difference. Pyroglutamate, the 'natural' Piracetam increases ACh (Piracetam is a derivative of Pyroglutamate). All these are particularly effective when combined. Many other nutrients & 'smart' drugs increase ACh, sometimes by providing part of the ACh molecule - Acetyl-l-carnitine, Phosphatidylserine, galantamine, etc.
