You know, Lamictal did weird things to my mouth, too. It wasn't the gums, it was the teeth. I kept getting sharp shooting pains in different teeth. It would last a few hours then move to a different tooth. And then it settled in my bottom teeth and jaw and wouldn't go away. It took a couple of weeks after quitting it for it to go away.

It's scary to insist on something from your doc, I know. It's like they have the power of life and death (yours) in their hands and you can't risk upsetting or offending them or having think you are just being cranky or whiny. You are scared to "cry wolf."

If Lamictal was intolerable before, why would it be different now?
