Hi.

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to risperidone.

My first question is, what does your doctor have to say about all of this? He would know better the potential side effects of risperidone. He would also know better whether or not you should discontinue the drug immediately.

It might serve two purposes to take some diphenhydramine (Benadryl). It will act as an antihistamine to prevent the escalation of an allergic reaction along with mitigating some of the symptoms of Effexor withdrawal.

But the last 2 days I woke up with a swollen face. my eye was swollen shut this a.m. and then by lunch time it went down and my lips swelled up. I have recently started taking 600 mg of lithium and resperidone, maybe that is it. PLEASE HELP
