I take a moderate dose of two antipsychotics and still experience hallucinations, for the me the mark of if an antipsychotic is working is if the hallucinations are manageable and not too intrusive. I have gone upto some quite high doses on some antipsychotics and still experienced hallucinations so for me I know to not to expect 100% releif.

Maybe you could try a low dose of haldol and a low dose of abilify?
Do you get any other benefit from abilify such as improved or more stable mood?

How did you find haldol? I have never taken it.
