I urge you to bring out the nurse in you and think about yourself, others you’ve heard from struggling with mental illness and patients you may have cared for and use that litmus test. Can you find validity in what the doc said – even if he was a doc? I do not. That kind of thinking implies there’s a character flaw, weakness, lack of will and any other number of fallacies we have FOUGHT against.I’m sorry that happened to you and I hope you don’t believe it.
