Phillipa, If depression was mind over matter, it would be easy to overcome. That was like saying "snap out of it" that makes me mad. People with depression/anxiety or any other mental illness would give their right eye if they could snap out of it. That acquantiance is not your doctor. He/she does not know your body.Hang in there. I like the Lexapro. I dont seem to be anyone's doormat lately. I usually feel guilty if I tell someone "like it is". I dont feel guilty anymore. lol
