Whos tried modafinil?

If you've taken modafinil (Alertec, Provigil, etc) then I'd love to know your personal experiences with it. How long did it take to work, dosage, side effects and anything else.
I will be trying it soon, carefully adding it to my Nardil so want to be as prepared as possible. I know there's lots of info on the web but personal experience is my prefered method of guidence.
