Some generics are made by the brand company. Watson gets Buproprion SR that is manufactured by Penn Labs, which is directly linked to GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Wellbutrin. (A pharmacist confirmed this, as does the info. at the link below). Sometimes you have to follow the trail quite a ways to get back to the brand company.
