Maybe you have a really sensitive system and you need to start out with a really low dosage. Have you ever tried using really small amounts of medications and building up VERY SLOWLY with them?
I keep thinking about some of the posts I've read here where people have had bad reactions to medications and wanted to quit them but they forced themselves to stick with it and ended up with good results. It has enabled me at times to stick with something longer than I would have been inclined to had I not read those posts.
OTOH, maybe SSRIs are just not for you... but maybe if you tried the really slow approach you could say that with more certainty.
