I don't think so. Every so often, a health personality will suggest that candidiasis is at the root of all medical conditions, especially depression. Food allergies is another one often suggested as a cause of mental illness. While I believe these things can produce mild to moderate depressions that are probably more anergic than dysphoric, I don't think they can account for the most severe depressions and bipolar disorders.

Which antifungals have you been taking? What dosages?

I think your cutting back on sugar is a positive decision that can only help to stabilize your energy and mood throughout the day.

Every little bit helps.
