Hi Denise.

:-)

> Would Zyprexa stop that turnover rate of receptors or hinder it in anyway do you know?

I wouldn't think so. Remember, the combination of Prozac + Zyprexa (Symbiax) still results in the resolution of depression, so my guess is that Zyprexa does not affect the therapeutic brain adaptations provoked by Prozac. I can't imagine that the same would not be true of Nardil or Seroxat.

I am not feeling my worst at the moment. However, the response I had last week to Keppra was at the time very encouraging. I was elated at the thought of the response continuing in that manner indefinitely and finally beginning to live a life with energy and reward. It stopped working, though, and I have not had enough of a demonstration that the antidepressant response will return. I have been at the lower dosages, though, and I look forward to having my doctor increase it up to 2000mg. Unfortunately, it has been my experience that once I begin to respond to a medication and then stop responding (tachyphylaxis), no dosage increase recaptures the antidepressant response. I wish I had happier news. At least I took advantage of the three days I was improved. I can accomplished more in three days while feeling well than I can in a year feeling ill. I'm sure you know that from personal experience. I'm pretty bummed-out.

P.S. You ask all the right questions. I only wish I had all the right answers. Your intellect is impressive.
