AdrenoTrophic? for adrenal glands?

Posted by EMan7 on August 5, 2005, at 12:09:00

Has anybody ever taken AdrenoTrophic to help strengthen their adrenal glands after bouts of anxiety attacks? My mom took it in the past and said it helped her tremendously with her anxiety. I took it a couple years ago. My anxiety attacks continued but I noticed I didn't get the one symptom of having tremendous surges of strain and stress on my heart any more. It was more the breathing trouble, the trembling, shivering, tingling, low blood pressure, faint feelings. Since that time the heart stress symptom has come back more recently so I'm wondering if I should try the AdrenoTrophic again. My understanding is that it is pig adrenal gland material. I guess it's supposed to help strengthen your adrenal glands so they don't overreact or underreact. My M.D. thought that was nonsense. He said not to take it. He said I have my own adrenal glands which are just fine and working overtime. He said all taking that would do is give me pork allergies. Any comments would be appreciated.
